I started my career at Raute in 2019 when I stepped into the shoes of Timo Reinikainen, who was employed by the company for over six decades. The lead to Raute was fascinating yet challenging, and I received a lot of support from the people at Raute. I followed Timo's best advice and welcomed his help, for which I will always be grateful.

As the Vice President of the LAM Market Area, I dedicate most of my time to sales activities for new investments, modernization, and different services. I also act as the General Manager in Raute's subsidiary in Chile, where I have administrative and legal responsibilities. I really enjoy working with customers in different phases of projects, especially in the early phase when we are planning together with the customer and the talented Raute team. The team spirit within the projects is inspiring thanks to the skilled people who have common goals and work seamlessly together to achieve them. Working at Raute is also my way to connect to the world and people from different backgrounds and cultures.

We have the best products and talented people, and we can leverage our know-how globally. In addition, Latin America provides vast forest resources for raw materials - that is a perfect match. I believe that wood construction and veneer-based products are about to flourish in wood construction by enacting laws and educating specialists at universities, and companies are making investments to enable the transition.

In my opinion, Raute's recently launched strategy "Making Wood Matter" arrived at just the right time in Latin America. Raute's commitment to leading the industry towards a more sustainable future in engineered wood products will pay off, I have no doubts about that, and I'm looking forward to being part of this transformation journey.
