Raute Shanghai to move the operations to Changzhou National High-tech District in early 2022

On June 21, 2021, Raute attended the signing ceremony in Changzhou National High-tech District (CND), where Raute will move operations, scheduled to start in January 2022.

This location is one of the first national high-tech industrial development districts approved by the Chinese State Council in 1992, which is a national intellectual property pilot zone, an advanced development zone in Jiangsu Province, and the most competitive development zone in East China.

“The current location in Shanghai area has limitations for further growth as the area is being developed more towards lighter industry's needs. The nearby supplier network is moving to new regions as well. Also, challenges of finding skilled work force for industrial work did contribute the decision. The operational environment in the new location provides an improvement in all those respects and thus improves the effectiveness and competitiveness of Raute's operations in China. Raute will employ some 100 persons in the coming Changzhou facility”, says Tapani Kiiski, President and CEO, Raute Corporation.

As one of the leading enterprises that has always been active in the woodworking machinery industry, Raute feels proud to witness the completion of major projects in the fields of new energy vehicles, information technology and medicine, etc., together with many famous enterprises in China and abroad.

At the signing ceremony, Marko Karsikko, Operations Manager of Raute (Shanghai) Machinery Co., Ltd., signed as the company's representative.
