To the smallest possible core

Veneer Peeling

Variability of the raw material size and quality creates challenges in plywood and LVL production, especially in veneer peeling. The long growth cycles of the trees and lack of top-quality raw materials have pushed veneer producers to utilize smaller-diameter logs in production. At the same time, demand for good raw materials is growing, which leads to shorter growth cycles and smaller log diameters.

The good news is that, with the latest innovations, you can also peel the small-diameter blocks to the smallest possible core. Let's learn the hybrid, spindleless, and recovery peeling concepts. Continue scrolling to learn more about your options.

Spindleless peeling line with high running efficiency

Veneer Peeling Line R3

Spindleless Veneer Peeling Line R3 is your choice when a cost-effective solution is needed to boost production capacity with the best possible raw material recovery. Our flexible R3-Series solution can be used as a stand-alone unit for smaller blocks or built to work together with existing peeling lines. A small 30mm core diameter allows peeling cores from existing peeling lines or mixed production with small blocks and cores in the same line. The minimum rounded block diameter to peel in a spindleless peeling line is 90mm.

More recovery with Veneer Peeling Line R3

Introducing the Recovery Peeling Concept

Do you already have a veneer peeling line operating on a spindle system that can peel veneer until the core meets the diameter of the spindles, around 80-100 mm? What if by adding the spindleless Veneer Peeling Line R3 to your existing installed peeling line, you could peel down to a 30-35 mm core? In the theme of 'peeling to the smallest core,' use the core from the traditional peeling line with the spindleless technology to utilize your raw material best and increase recovery.
